The Young Women Rock! Mentorship Program is dedicated to strengthening the lives and communities of young women in under-served neighborhoods through a curriculum based, group, and one-on-one after-school program for high schoolers that includes weekly sessions and special cultural outings.
The Young Women Rock! Mentorship Program provides teenage girls in a neighborhood, with the only safe space dedicated entirely to them to discuss issues pertinent to their health, wellbeing and success. They are paired with their own mentor (college student or graduate), who encourages their self-confidence, ambition and goals while helping them to combat negative societal pressures and stereotypes. The program is aimed at girls high school aged girls.
Dates: The first session will be this Thursday 9/20 and run through May 16, 2013 on Thursday, 3:30 – 5:30pm
