The only public access to the illusive and mysterious Brooklyn Navy Yard is welcoming a new children’s program. ConstructionKids is moving to Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at BLDG 92 in July 2012.Their new, 2,700-square-foot workshop will be housed on the second floor of BLDG 92’s modern green building, adjacent to the museum, with a cafe and exhibition space located upstairs.
BLDG 92 is a green building made partially of recycled shipping parts. It also offers cafe Ted and Honey which serves up gourmet food every day that is kid friendly and casual. You can drop off your child for a CK class and go have a coffee or check your email with the buildings free wifi. At BLDG 92, your kid can also learn about the BNY’s cool history, the exhibition space and visitors center shows the history of NYC’s largest and most vibrant shipping port.
