Cheap Clothing in Brooklyn for Kids and Mamas

Kids Tee from Flying Squirrel

It’s that time again! to go shopping for more school clothing that your kids will ultimately grow out of or destroy before December. Now, as a mom I will admit that I like my kids to look good, after all, I cannot deny the urge to dress them like I did my dolls in adorable dresses and pant suits. But why spend a fortune to do all of this dressing?

Cheap Clothing

Flying Squirrel is my favorite store in Brooklyn. It sells used and new clothing for kids ages 0-5 as well as great toys and shoes. You can also sell or trade your used items to them if you make an appointment.

Buffalo Exchange is a tween and teen shopping mecca and has great looking bags and accessories for your fashion forward kids.

Beacons Closet is also mostly for tweens and teens but your money can go a long way on designer clothing like DC sneeks and Joes jeans.

Still Hip has it all. From clothing consignment to kids classes this place is a great resource for not just clothing. Be sure to check them out.

Housing Works Park Slope – The popular Manhattan thrift shop has come to Brooklyn’s Park Slope and is holding regular sale events to check out.

For the Truly Adventurous Deal Seeking Shopper

Housing Works Warehouse Sale – Located just over the Greenpoint Ave. Bridge in Queens, the Housing Works Warehouse Sale is not for the faint of heart. The sale occurs on a weekly basis and people usually line up 2 hours before the doors open. For $25 a bag you can buy designer clothing and accessories for pennies.
