We appreciate high end European toys and designer baby gear as much as the next Brooklyn mother but every once in a while, one just needs a set of Legos.
When you find yourself looking for a birthday present or bribery treat (gasp!) for the children in your life then you may want to pay a visit to a place you may never have heard of, Willy’s Toy Box. Unlike many of the other shops for kids in Williamsburg, Willy’s only sells toys. This is Williamsburg’s only true toy store and they stock many main stream toys that all kids can enjoy.
The age range is wide and the prices reasonable but blink an eye, and you will miss this little gem of a shop. The unassuming hanging sign that stands in the shadow of Williamsburg’s largest baby store can easily be missed but be certain that this is worth a trip to check out their inventory of..well..toys.
Willy’s Toy Box opened about a year ago and without an official website, this store is hard to find online. Once you pay a visit however, it becomes apparent that this is unlike any of the other shops in the neighborhood that cater to small areas of the toy market by sprinkling them into their inventory. Willy’s Toy Box has one goal in serving your basic toy buying needs from puzzles and games to Legos and dolls. Don’t get us wrong however, this is Williamsburg after all, and there are plenty of wooden toys and unique items in their inventory.
Our final thoughts on Willy’s Toy Box was that this is a business well worth supporting and we hope you feel the same way.
