Winter Break Mini- Camps at the NYC Zoos

While there are a multitude of Winter Holiday Camps, here is an opportunity for kids to interact and learn about animals living at area zoos. The Prospect Park and Queens Zoo have mini- camps taking place during the Winter Holiday Break.

 

 

 

 

 

Prospect Park Zoo Winter Mini- Camp
Prospect Park Zoo youth programs are designed to connect children with nature and include behind-the-scenes tours led by zoo educators, animal presentations, and arts and crafts workshops. Children will learn how animals live in the wintery weather. Campers will be provided the opportunity to participate in hand-ons activities.

Registration is open to campers 6 to 9 years old.

When: Seasonal Winter Break
Where: Prospect Park Zoo, 450 Flatbush Avenue in Prospect Park, Brooklyn
Ages: Kids 6-9 years old
How Much: $125 members; $150 non-members

Queens Zoo Winter Mini- Camp

The Queens Zoo provides your kids the opportunity  learn how animals adapt to the winter weather  and gain exposure to the animals during animal presentations by the zookeepers.

When: Seasonal Winter Break
Where: Queens Zoo, 53-51 111th Stree, Flushing Meadow’s Corona Park in Queens

Ages: 6-10 years old
How Much: $125 Members;  $150 non-members
