Halloween is over and there is no snow on the horizon, so this is a great weekend to get out and about. Brooklyn Mamas has compiled ten  fun activities to check out this weekend.

iGallop NYC
November 5, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.
Bowling Green (Caton Ave. & Coney Island Ave)
A free one-hour introduction to horses and introductory riding lessons open to children age 8 and older . GallopNYC uses horseback riding to bring joy and hope to children and adults with developmental, emotional, social and physical challenges.  Learn more at GallopNYC.

Prospect Park Zoo
November 5, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Prospect Park

The Knitting Factory, Williamsburg

Anna Banana Band

Live Animal Encounter
November 5, 4:15 p.m.
Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Crown Heights
You never know what animals are going to make an appearance at this great hands on event. See details at Live Animal Encounter.

November 5, 11:00 a.m.
Greenlight Bookstore, Fort Greene
Kids will enjoy reading alongside the author of What Animals Really Like and have the chance to illustrate their own pictures.  Learn more at Storytime.

Create a City
November 5 & 6, 1:30 p.m.
Transit Museum, Brooklyn Heights
Kids ages 4 and up will create their own little city with buses, streets, subways and buildings.  Get in on the fun at Create a City.

The Carousel
November 5 & 6, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Prospect Park

Baby Storytime

Greenlight Bookstore, Fort Greene
