NYC Imagination Library – Free Books for Babies and Pre-School Age Kids

If you have a child under the age of five, here is an opportunity to receive free books from The New York City Department of Education. The DOE is partnering with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to provide free books to all New York City children (age 0-5).

Register your preschool age child and a new, carefully selected, age-appropriate book will be mailed each month in your child’s name directly to your home. The books are written in English, but native language and bilingual books are also available for children whose home language is other than English.

Several staff members from my daughter’s school have registered their child and are already enjoying the quality books that arrive each month. If you have a Pre-K student or a younger sibling, don’t miss this great opportunity. If you know a family with children under 5 years old make sure to share this information.

For more information and to enroll online, go to www.nycimaginationlibrary.org. Books will begin arriving at your home six to eight weeks after your registration form has been received, and will continue every month until your child turns five.
