Weekend Round Up – Food Festivals Galore!

Foodie families can rejoice this weekend in the fact that there will be no shortage of great eats and festivities going on. Check out our picks for making your weekend wonderful!


The Harvest Festival at Brooklyn Bridge Park will feature a pumpkin patch, musical guests, face painting, mask making, storytelling and art activities. The Festival Des Soups or“Soup Crawl” where students sell Tasting Tickets in 3 price ranges to the public.  A team of Celebrity Judges decide the winners of Gold, Silver and Bronze Ladles in the Meat based, Fish based, and Vegetable categories. The Red Hook Harvest Festival will feature delicious food from local restaurants, pumpkin carving, farm animals, games, and fruits and veggies at the Red Hook Farmers Market. Williamsburg’s Smorgasburg will host a Pumpkin Carving Contest and brunchCRAFT will feature brunch for parents and a craft for kids. Grab a sitter and head out for a Parents Happy Hour for date night. You will get $1 off for every kid you have so bring photos.


The food frenzy continues with an Apple Pie Contest at EnidsSmorgasburg in DUMBO, and the Havemeyer Sugar Sweets Festival which is a delicious bake sale and baking competition. Also enjoy Brunch and a Costume Contest at Moxie Spot.
