Back To School Jam

Head to the Brooklyn Children’s Museum for their Back to School Jam, a party held by the Museum’s early childhood educators for children entering kindergarten and those going back-to-school.

This is a yearly event to celebrate the start of a new school year. Programs include exploring the museum’s Greenhouse and Garden, making party hats, decorating your own lunch box, demonstrations on ways to stay healthy and a live performance from CIRQUE-TACULAR!

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Party Hats!  11:00am-1:30pm
Let’s get ready to party! Create your own wacky and fun party hat to celebrate going to big kid school.
Ages 5 and under

Circle Time 11:00-11:30am
Let your imagination soar, as you listen to cherished tales led by the Brooklyn Public Library.
All Ages

Roving Animals 11:30am-12:30pm
You’ll never know who you will bump into. Look out for animals from the museum’s live animal collection such as snakes, lizards and turtles roving about the museum with their animal educators.

Back-to-School Lunchboxes 11:30am-12:30pm
Start the school year off right. Decorate your own paper lunchbox to carry yummy and healthy treats.

Move Your Body! Dance-a-thon 12:00-1:00pm
Get up and boogy! Join educators from the Fit 4 Life Kids organization in learning fun ways of moving your body to the beat while staying fit and being healthy.
All Ages

Snack Time 1:00- 2:00pm-
Munch on healthy yummy snacks from local community eateries.
All Ages

SPECIAL PERFORMANCE:
CIRQUE-TACULAR
1:30- 2:00pm
Cirque-tacular brings the Circus tent to you with daring acts at the extreme edges of human capability.
