It seems just like yesterday the kiddies were out of school for the Winter Break and Spring Break is fast coming up. Spring Break Camps offers your child a way to explore new topics and learn new skills outside of the classroom. Check out these diverse Spring Break Camps offered throughout Brooklyn.

Bija Kids Yoga Camp
Bija Kids’ philosophy is based on the idea that all seeds orbija (in Sanskrit) have the ability to flourish with proper care and nurturing. Boys and girls ages 3-8 will enjoy yoga sessions that are age appropriate and include physical postures (asana), breathing practices (pranayama), and age appropriate meditation techniques in a lively and creative setting. In addition, camp classes also include an arts & crafts project, music, freeplay and organic & healthy snacks and more at this fun yoga camp.

When: April 6 – 13, 2012. Half day: 9-12pm; Full day: 9-3pm; Extended day: 8:15-6pm

Park Slope Mini Camp
The mini- camp is packed with fun outings to Brooklyn Gymnastics, Cradle of Aviation Museum, Fun Station, Bowling and Museum of Natural History. This is for kids pre-8th grade. Kids bring their own lunch.

When: April 9 – 13, 2012. 8am-4pm.

Super Soccer Stars Mini Camp
This fun camp is open to both boys and girls ages 6-12. The camp will feature soccer games and activities, arts and crafts and snacks.

Aviator Sports Holiday Break Camp
Kids ages 3-15 will participate in ice skating, rock climbing, gymnastics, arts and crafts, group games, movies and more. Lunch and a light afternoon snack are included.

When: April 9-13, 2012, 9am-4pm (early arrival and late dismissal available)

Winter Recess Day Camp with NY City Explorers
Kids ages 5-10 will visit places such as Historic Richmond Town, Gracie Mansion, American Indian Museum and more.

When: April 9 – 13, 2012. 8am-3:30pm. After-camp: 3:30-6pm.

Construction Kids Vacation Camp
Campers will welcome Spring by building with nature in mind with visits to the  Botanical Garden and Prospect Park to find signs of spring and then build what they see at the parks.  April Vacation Week is a creative and active week both indoors and out. Campers will go out rain or shine so make sure your kids are prepared for the rain.

Ms. J’s Gymnastics and Dance Holiday Camp

Ms J’s gymnastics and dance is a colorful studio where kids can learn to listen, have fun, be social, and work out.   Spring Break Campers 3-11 can participate in dance, gymnastics, arts and crafts and more. Kids must bring their own snack & lunch.

When: April 9 – 13, 2012. Half day: 9-1pm; Full day: 9-3pm.

YMCA Splash Week is a FREE program created to help people of all ages not just kids to learn basic swimming skills and water safety practices.  Y Splash Week provides week of free swim lessons to help people of all ages, especially children and families, learn basic swimming skills and water safety practices.
