Want to see rockets, play mini-golf, climb a wall, look at molecules, or throw a baseball, then head to the New York Hall of Science in Flushing Meadow Queens. The New York Hall of Science offers over 450 permanent exhibits that will engage and entertain kids of all ages for hours.
My daughter loved all the hands-on exhibits that the museum had to offer from scaling the 8 foot climbing wall to playing mini-golf to running around one of the coolest playgrounds in the city. For families with little ones, the museum has Preschool Place aimed at kids 6 and under, featuring story times, sing alongs and more. The Preschool Place is has it’s own separate area so young kids have a safe and comfortable area where parents don’t have to worry about managing around older kids.
Given the number of exhibits, events and programs scheduled at The New York Hall of Science, it is well worth a trip from Brooklyn. You definitely can make a day of visiting the museum and don’t worry about bringing food, you can pick up something to eat at the museum cafe or bring lunch/snacks to nosh in the museum cafeteria.
And if the numerous exhibits is not enough, the rockets in the courtyard is always a hit and great opportunity to talk about our country’s space program.
