Free Or Cheap Things To Do on Winter Break

Winter Break is almost here and if you’ve had enough of the playgrounds and the park and want to stay indoors, Brooklyn Mamas has put together a great list of things to do that are either free or affordable and most of all – fun!

New York Transit Museum
The New York  Transit museum will hold a special family program during Winter Break Week. The programs are for children of all ages and are FREE with museum admission.

When: February 21-24, 11am: Transportation tales with Subway Storytelling
2:30pm: Kids can create their own city

Taro’s Origami Studio
If your kids are fans of crafts, you might want to try Origami. They have a “drop in and try out” corner where kids can try their hands at Origami, all materials included.

When: Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11am-6pm

Storytime at the Moxie Spot
Emily Terte, the creative director of The Moxie Spot ,combines her love of books, puppets and children for an extraordinary storytime experience.
