Brooklyn offers some unique Hanukkah events this year so finish flipping your latkes and pick one of these awesome events below to attend.
Borough Hall Menorah Lighting
Join Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz for the annual Menorah lighting ceremony. Refreshments will be served inside Borough Hall.
Where: Brooklyn Borough Plaza, Columbus Park, 209 Joralemon Street, Downtown Brooklyn
When: December 20, 2011 at 5pm

Public Menorah Lighting
Brooklyn’s largest menorah will be lit with Hanukkah candles each evening. Free latkes & live music will be available, as well as some children’s gifts. Many community leaders, philanthropists and special guests will assist in lighting the menorah.

Meet the Holiday: Let’s Celebrate Hanukkah
Kids age 5 and under can learn all about the cultures and traditions of Hanukkah. They will discover how this holiday is celebrated around the world and make a Hanukkah-related craft.

Community-Wide Hanukkah Celebration
Sing-a-long in a joyous Israeli-style Hanukkah concert and enjoy a Hanukkah lunch of latkes, sufganiot and more. There will also be a dreidel-spinning competition as well as a home-made applesauce competition.
