Free Kids Little League Baseball and Softball Leagues in NYC

If your child is interested in softball, baseball or t-ball, they, too, can join in the action of America’s most popular sport as there are numerous children’s leagues around the city.

Citywide Softball League
The Citywide Softball program, sponsored by the City Parks Foundation and The Police Athletic League (PAL), provides competitive games for boys and girls ages 8 through 13. Teams compete at the borough level before the top teams advance to compete for the citywide title.

Requirements: Participants should bring their own gloves, but the rest of the equipment will be provided. They should also already be familiar with the sport.
Ages: 8 -13

Instructional Baseball Clinics (Turn 2 Foundation)

The Turn 2 Foundation, founded by New York Yankee Derek Jeter is a four-day FREE baseball clinic for boys and girls ages 8 to 13. The clinic focuses on baseball fundamentals, as well as important life skills and lessons.

Where: The Al Oerter Recreation Center is located at 131-40 Fowler Avenue in Flushing (in case of rain the clinic will move into Al Oerter Recreation Center)

Youth Baseball Leagues and Little Leagues – there are numerous leagues throughout the boroughs.  Visit nycgovparks.org and the little league.org for more information on your local league.
