Review: Mil’s Trills Philharmonic Winter Bash

by Maytal Wichman

Amelia Robinson’s lyrics are certainly kid-friendly and the music is adult-friendly, but make no mistake – the music is also very catchy; infants and adults alike were bobbing their head to the rhythms at the Mil’s Trills’ 2nd Annual Winter Bash this past Saturday at Littfield in Brooklyn.

The concert featured Amelia on her electric ukulele, joined by over ten past musical guests from her regular weekly series. Concert-goers were treated to the sounds of the French Horn, Flute, Sousaphone, Upright Bass, Violin, Trumpet and more.

In addition, there was a recital by graduates of the Mil’s Trills Ukulele Workshop who sang lullabies they composed especially for their own children.  Other special guests included a face-painter, mimes and puppets by local non-profit organization, Puppetry.
