The New York Transit Museum is one the most popular museums in Brooklyn. Along with being able to ride subways and buses of yore, every Saturday and Sunday at 1:30, programs are offered free with museum admission.
Here is a listing of Children and Family Programs for November.
Create a City
November 5 and 6 at 1:30 pm
Children will be able to design an urban landscape to create a city with streets, buildings and of course, subways and buses. For ages 4 and up.
November 12 and 13 at 1:30 pm
After an interactive tour of the latest exhibit, ElectriCity: Powering New York Rails, there will be a demonstration of science and the magic electricity using everyday materials and subway parts. All ages.
Get Electric with Roger G
November 19 and 20 at 1:30 pm
Roger C. is a renowned performer and choreographer. He is also a MTA Arts for Transit artist who will be bringing his dynamic and powerful performance to the museum for a celebration of force and motion. All ages.
Miles of Tiles
November 26 and 26 at 1:30 pm
Kids will be able to use colorful tiles to craft their own mosaic. Ages 4 and up.
