Yard Inspectors Family Tour
Step into the shoes of an inspector in-training on this Yard-wide adventure! Follow clues through the Brooklyn Navy Yard to uncover its hidden treasures of the past and present. Search for industrial cranes and learn about ship repair, inspect a building for its “green” features, and much, much more on this hands-on guided Yard-wide family tour!

When: Sunday, September 16, 1:00-2:00pm 3:00 p.m.
Where: The Brooklyn Navy Yard Center at BLDG 92 at 63 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
Ages: Appropriate for children ages 6 to 13 and their parents.

Weekend Family Program – Rocks of Brooklyn Bridge Park
Rock out with the playground associates as we identify and decorate the many rocks of Brooklyn Bridge Park.

When: September 15-16 from 12pm to 2pm and 4pm to 6pm
Where: Pier 6 and Main Street, Brooklyn Bridge Park
Admission: Free

Author & illustrator David Ezra Stein presents Because Amelia Smiled
The Greenlight Bookstore hosts at Story Time every Saturday for kids ages 3 to 8 years old, featuring picture book authors and activities. This Saturday, features David Ezra Stein, Caldecott Honor-winning picture book author.  In his new book Because Amelia Smiled, a small girl’s smile makes its way around the world as it gives others ideas about their own acts of kindness. David’s charmingly illustrated story reminds us that adding even a small dose of kindness into the world is sure to inspire more and more kindness, which could eventually make its way back to you! Join us for an interactive reading and signing with David.

Sunday Brunch Drum Along
Sing  along with Nat on Sunday.  Come sing, dance, clap, or stare in amazement!

Coney Island Circus Sideshow
Check out the famous sideshow featuring special guest Black Scorpion.

When: September 15 & 16,  The show runs continuously from 1pm-8pm.
Tickets: $10 for adults and $5 for children. Last tickets are sold at 7pm.

Family Day at the Dekalb Market

The Second Family Day celebration will featured the 8 year old wonder DJ Kai Song and the Spanish children’s music duo Acopladitos.Kids will be able to play in a bouncy castle and more.

When: September 16,  12-6pm
Tickets: $10 for adults and $5 for children. Last tickets are sold at 7pm.
