There is a plethora of events happening this weekend but Hurricane Irene is heading our way so I am sure we will be in preparation as it comes our way. But in the event, the Hurricane turns away here are some indoor options to keep the kids busy.

Taste of Brooklyn Festival

Vishnu: Hinduism’s Blue-Skinned Warrior
Your kids be fascinated by the blue-skinned Hindu God Vishnu who is one of Hinduism’s three major deities.While he is an interesting figure in his primary form, the complexity of Vishnu’s character becomes clear when he assumes new forms, known as avatars, in order to save the earth from various dangers. Who doesn’t like the idea of being able to change forms. Vishnu: Hinduism’s Blue-Skinned Warrior is showing at the Brooklyn Museum until October 2.
